Move for Miracles this May

Join us for Move For Miracles and get active for a great cause!

Make May your month to explore your local neighbourhood, discover some amazing walking tracks and take in the scenery, whilst keeping fit and raising money to support more families challenged by prematurity and sickness.

It’s easy, simply reach 48,000 steps (OR 37km) during the month of May to support the 48,000 miracles born each year. Every step or kilometre that you walk, run or ride will help premature and sick newborns and their families reach their full potential.

Best part is, it’s a virtual challenge so anybody can get involved, simply sign up and start moving, You can even create a team and do it with friends and family across the country (or world!). Get your friends, colleagues and family involved and help a miracle and their family access life-changing support. Money raised through Move for Miracles goes directly to supporting these families through our vital NurtureProgram and family resources.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

1. Set up your profile page and share it with friends and family so they can sponsor you (note: you can start fundraising today, no need to wait).

2. Connect your FitbitStrava or Map My Fitness app so that your fitness progress shows up on your fundraising page.

3. Reach your goal between the 1st and 31st of May - Walk, Run, Ride or be creative. As long as you can log in steps or kilometres.

3. Be Proud! Every step and every dollar counts.

  • Bicycling (Casual) = 2500 steps
  • Dancing (social) = 970 steps
  • Grocery shopping = 640 steps
  • Jump rope (moderate) = 2780 steps
  • Mowing the lawn = 1680 steps
  • Vacuuming = 1040 steps
  • Water skiing = 1870 steps
  • Wheelchair use (manual) = 1010 steps
  • Yoga = 860 steps
