Piper was born 4 months prematurely and stayed in the NICU and hospital for six months. For families just like Hayley and Piper's, support is vital as the experience of having born premature can be life-changing.

Now a year later, little Piper can be seen smiling, clapping, trying to walk, talking, and cheekily giving her mum Hayley head shakes when she gets in trouble.

"Piper is doing awesome, better than I expected. I thought that this year we would be in and out of hospital, but Piper is a little trooper and is determined to let nothing get in her way," says Hayley Buhagiar.

Once again, Tommee Tippee wants to help more little ones like Piper and hopefully with the $20,000 raised for Miracle Babies, we can offer 300 more families access to our NurtureProgram, which includes: 24-hour helpline, in-hospital peer-to-peer support, out of hospital play and support groups, emergency care packs and NICU Survival Packs along with other resources for families and the hospitals that care for them.

It's such an uncontrolled and difficult experience having a premmie, but the help of family, friends and an incredible support base of Nurses and professions that helps give with the peace of mind that help is never far away," Hayley added.

Vanessa Gonzalez, Marketing Manager at Tommee Tippee said: "To see little ones grow happy and healthy like Piper just cements for us at Tommee Tippee the importance of supporting organisations like The Miracle Babies Foundation. We would like to encourage everybody to tip in this World Prematurity Day to help those who have experienced having a premature little one, through personalised support and relationships."

Kylie Pussell, CEO and Co-Founder of The Miracle Babies Foundation said: "For families challenged with a premature or sick baby, the experience can be life changing. We are grateful for the amazing support of Tommee Tippee. The partnership will certainly go a long way in helping us touch the lives of more families in Australia in need of our support."

The campaign will run from 17th of October until the 17th of November, and anyone can lend their support and make a donation any time via http://tommeetippeetipin.raisely.com with all funds going directly to Miracle Babies Foundation.

Each year in Australia, more than 48,000 babies are born requiring specialised care and of these around 27,000 are born premature. Miracle Babies Foundation is committed to achieving better, healthier outcomes for families challenged by prematurity and sickness at birth.
