Our beautiful Ava Marie was born at 34 + 2 wks by emergency c-section due to acute pre-eclampsia at Tamworth hospital on the 27/01/2022.

As I was admitted to ICU after having Ava for 76 hours I was unable to meet her or bond with her until I was admitted to the maternity ward due to the covid rules in place at the time.

During Ava’s 6 weeks in the special care nursery my partner and I would visit her multiple times each day to feed, bath and bond with her.

It was hard leaving our daughter in the special care nursery however we knew that she was cared for by the amazing medical team. Some of which were the same medical team who cared for our 4 year old son who was born at 34 wks due to the same reasons as Ava.

Once Ava was discharged home she was greeted by her 4 year old brother who loves her very much.


We are very blessed to have two healthy children and look forward to parenting journey ahead.
