Miracle Mum, Tegan shares the story of her little fighter, Carter.

"Carter was born at 27 weeks, weighing 640g and measuring 28cm. She was the size of a 23 weeker.

Carter was on CPAP for quite some time, during which her lungs collapsed and she needed a blood transfusion. Carter went to high flow oxygen in the new year and lasted nine hours before going back to CPAP for another week.

Eventually Carter was able to handle being on high flow and after a week was able to handle low flow, which she eventually came home on due to her chronic lung disease.

Carter has shown an incredible amount of strength from day one and we are so very lucky to have her here with us.

Carter now weighs 3.3kg and is 8 weeks corrected."
