Miracle Mum, Nicole shares the story of giving birth to baby Chayce and dealing with the birth defect Gastroschisis.

"Chayce was born at 35 weeks with Gastroschisis. His bowel and most of his intestines were on the outside of his body.

After delivering him naturally the surgical team had all of his intestines back inside within one hour. Record timing we were told.

Unfortunately he contracted meningitis at four days old and we stayed in the hospital for four long months.

Chayce is now a happy, healthy, four-year-old big brother. "
