Hyundai Help for Kids extends support in 2025

Miracle Babies Foundation is pleased to announce a continued partnership with Hyundai, as part of their dedicated CSR program - Hyundai Help for Kids.

“At Hyundai Help for Kids, we're creating brighter tomorrows for kids today. That's why since 2014, a portion of every Hyundai sold* goes directly towards our Hyundai Help for Kids program. A program dedicated to supporting a range of not-for-profit organisations making a difference for kids in need.”

The partnership began in 2024, providing vital emotional support and resources to regional NSW families.

In 2025, the Hyundai Help for Kids program has committed to supporting the Foundation’s key-in-hospital peer support service (NurtureTime) in Wollongong and also Westmead, along with further support to provide resources to NSW regional hospitals. Expansion of the in-hospital services with new areas is also in the plan.

The partnership with Hyundai Help for Kids helps Miracle Babies Foundation to contribute to deliver this vital cotside support in NICUs and Special Care Nurseries that care for families with a baby born as early as 23 weeks, require specialised care due to sickness at birth and who may be caring for families who are hours away from their families at home and may be transferred between multiple hospitals. ‘Speaking to somebody that understands, helps you cope by making it normal’ – mum, Morgan

Welcoming Laura into Wollongong Hospital

On Wednesday 12 March, the Hyundai Help for Kids team, local Hyundai Dealers and Miracle Babies Foundation visited Wollongong Hospital as we shared the impact of the support on local families.

Wollongong NurtureTime (in-hospital peer support) will be delivered weekly on Tuesdays in the neonatal unit by Laura Lee, Miracle Babies Foundation NurtureProgram Support Worker. It is a pleasure to have Laura on board replacing valued volunteer of many years, Nikki, who was recently running the service. “To have parents themselves like Laura who have personally been supported by Miracle Babies and have been through the experience, passionate about coming back to now support others and be there for families just like their own is heartwarming and such a special part of the work that we do. It not only provides these parents with a listening ear, but empowers families in the unit to cope with the entire experience and become confident as they care for their vulnerable baby (and themselves) in hospital and for years after they are discharged” – Kylie Pussell, CEO and CoFounder, Miracle Babies Foundation

The Hyundai Help for Kids partnership will continue to make an incredible difference in improving the lives of these families and will provide vital support throughout their journey with a premature or sick baby.

Thank you to Danielle Coggan (Nurse Unit Manager), Dr Anzar, Katie Bedwell and the team at Wollongong Hospital for welcoming the team and sharing the incredible work of the neonatal teams in Australia. Thank you for everything that you do.

Thank you to the team from Hyundai and Hyundai Help for Kids for joining us on Wednesday.
