Mental Health

NURTURE INFORMATION HUB

As children grow, they naturally learn to manage their emotions and social interactions better. You'll notice a reduction in emotional outbursts like crying when separated from family or hitting when frustrated as they mature.

Preschool-aged children start grasping the concept of emotions and can express how they feel. Building friendships becomes increasingly significant during this stage, fostering empathy and sympathy towards others.

As a parent, you play a crucial role in nurturing these emotional skills. Be a positive role model, discuss feelings openly, and provide a secure and consistent environment for your child.

It's essential to be mindful of mental health, especially for children born premature or sick, who may be at higher risk of anxiety, depression, or learning challenges. Keeping an eye on their emotional well-being and seeking support when needed is vital for their overall development and happiness.
