“Noah our first baby, what an experience this pregnancy was. At just 30 weeks and 5 days you made your entrance.

At 28 weeks my waters started leaking so I was monitored very closely from then on. At this point I had no idea what to expect. 30 weeks came along, and Noah decided to make his entrance very quickly, as soon as he was here I knew it wasn’t good there was no cry as they took him to the table to be resuscitated. He wasn’t very strong at all for the first 24-48 hours CPAP wasn’t enough and he was on the ventilator.

They took Noah down to NICU and I got moved to the ward. Once I finally recovered, I walked through those NICU doors and saw my baby, I completely broke down this is not how I expected to see my baby when I found out I was pregnant. A lot happened in here where sometimes I even felt like we were taking steps backwards but eventually we got through.

After a long 6 weeks we were able to take our baby home with no breathing support and on all suck feeds. I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am for each and every single nurse that supported not only Noah but myself and his dad in the difficult time.

Noah is now 15 months old and the happiest, healthiest baby I could wish for.”
