One afternoon at work, my water broke at 24 weeks. I was rushed to hospital and held off giving birth for another 10 days, 25 weeks and 2 days.

Omar smashed his blood tests, eye tests, many ultrasounds and doctors’ visits. We did not have many setbacks, a UTI  and conjunctivitis, everything else was smooth.

At 39 weeks, Omar made it home, on oxygen. However we were so happy to have him in our arms.

We thank god every day that Omar is in our arms at home and he is safe and healthy. We live in an amazing country, with an amazing health care system
