Support for the Miracle Babies’ Head Office had a significant impact –

Thank you to ACTIVE Display

THURSDAY 14 APRIL 2022

Since 2005, Miracle Babies Foundation has provided emotional support for families through peer-to-peer and face-to-face services, providing connection to others who understand. Formed initially by a group of mums, bonded together by their own traumatic experiences, the Foundation has continued to grow, to Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation supporting premature and sick newborns and their families, and now with a global footprint.

Over the years, our support program has expanded to reach more families across Australia and the Miracle Babies NurtureProgram is now globally recognised within the Neonatal Field.

With services and resources currently in around 90% of NICUs and NurtureGroups (play and support groups) operating in communities across the country, growth of the support and Head Office team was vital in enabling continued expansion.

In 2019, the support of Active Sites Alive Pty (ACTIVE Display Group) helped the Foundation to;

  • Achieve a larger Head Office space to enable staff growth, whilst alleviating overhead costs – crucial in enabling expansion of our programs and increased face-to-face support services across Australia, coordinated with state teams from Head Office.
  • Alleviate lease costs to allow the Foundation to direct more funding income into services and resources for families.

The value of in-kind support from ACTIVE Display was equivalent to 1.5 years of full support via our NurtureProgram support services for 105 families across Australia.

As the lease comes to end, with ACTIVE Display moving to a new site, Miracle Babies will also be relocating to a new Head Office space.

“Without the support of organisations like ACTIVE Display, who have helped to alleviate costs for Miracle Babies, the Foundation would have struggled more with providing the needed support for families, particularly at such a crucial and uncertain time as we continue to face the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.” - Kylie Pussell – CEO & Co-Founder of Miracle Babies Foundation and Mum to 3 surviving miracle babies

With more than 48,000 babies being born premature or sick each year in Australia, Miracle Babies provides services and support to thousands of families nationally.

“This support can transform the lives of the entire family unit, through greater confidence and knowledge, and will ultimately lead to better outcomes for more newborns.

Expansion of our support services to reach more impacted families will continue to be our goal with around 2 in 3 families still without access. There are simply too many going through this alone. We cannot thank ACTIVE Display enough for their wonderful support, allowing us to focus more funds into areas that directly impact these newborns and their families” - Kylie Pussell – CEO & Co-Founder of Miracle Babies Foundation and Mum to 3 surviving miracle babies

During the past 2 years, Miracle Babies has had to adapt and respond to heightened anxiety and parental stress amongst families facing isolation as a result of the pandemic, and deliver support via new, online platforms due to restrictions, with less income streams available to the Foundation.  Meanwhile, the demand for our resources for families distributed via hospitals continued. All of these are all stored, packed and fulfilled via our Head Office in Chipping Norton. Over the last 12 months, more than 5,300 resources have been provided to families in the NICU or Special Care Nursery.
