Miracle Babies Foundation is incredibly grateful for the support of Hyundai Help for Kids who have helped Miracle Babies provide vital resources to families in the NICU or Special Care Nursery at Regional NSW Hospitals, supporting them to navigate and cope with the experience of having a baby in specialised care and also to provide support to bereaved families.
Between January – July 2024, 653 families have been supported through Hyundai Help for Kids’ funding toward Miracle Babies’ NurtureProgram. Hyundai Help for Kids has generously funded hundreds of resource packs to provide support and information for families of a premature or sick newborn to help them cope with and navigate weeks or often months with their baby in specialised hospital care.
With only 23 NICUs in Australia, many of these families will be hundreds of kilometres away from home, while others may be transferred between two or more hospitals during the first few months of their baby’s life. Thanks to Hyundai Help for Kids, Miracle Babies resources have been provided to Regional NSW hospitals to support these families through their overwhelming and sometimes traumatic hospital journey, with a total of 553 resources provided to date. These resources provide support for families first admitted to hospital in emergency situations, when a baby is admitted to the NICU or Special Care Nursery, to support them in providing breastmilk to their baby in hospital, a ‘Grad Bag’ discharge pack is provided for families able to come home with their baby, supporting them through their often daunting transition from hospital to home with their vulnerable newborn and every year, up to 1,000 babies will lose their fight for life, 20 Memory Boxes have been provided for families sadly grieving the loss of their baby in regional NSW in 2024 already. In addition to this, a further 100 petrol vouchers have also been distributed to social work to provide relief for families travelling to and from the hospital each day.

Hyundai Help for Kids - Liverpool Hospital NICU tour
On the 16th of February, Miracle Babies invited the Hyundai Help for Kids team along with 2 Hyundai Dealers for a tour at one of NSW’s largest NICUs - Liverpool Hospital. They were able to learn more about the services we provide in the hospital, speak with NICU staff and see our beautiful Miracle Wall full of plaques of families who have honoured their babies born premature or sick.
2024 Hyundai & Genesis Drive Day
We were fortunate to be invited to the Drive Day hosted by Hyundai on 22 February 2024. This was a wonderful day full of fun activities at the Sydney Motorsport Park. Miracle Babies Staff drove some of the beautiful Hyundai cars in the performance loop and lifestyle track. Thank you to Hyundai for the invitation, it was great to meet the Hyundai Help for Kids staff and enjoy the day out.
iView 2024 - Round 10 - Brisbane Lions vs Richmond game
On the 18th of May, Miracle Babies Families had the privilege of attending a VIP experience, and watching the game in iView, thanks to Hyundai Help for Kids. Special guests Will Ashcroft joined them, along with the Brisbane Lions mascot, Roy the Lion, who captured heartwarming moments with the kids.
VIP Experience - Roosters v Dragons game
On the 7th of July, Hyundai Help for Kids together with Sydney Roosters invited children and families supported by Miracle Babies for a special VIP experience for the Roosters v Dragons game at Allianz Stadium. The families had an amazing day filled with many experiences such as the guard of honour at half time and walking on the field in front of a packed stadium. They were given a corporate box to enjoy with their loved ones.
We were so grateful to be able to invite miracle families who had a premature or sick baby, and they were able to enjoy the day with other families. Below is the 5 families who were invited and their 'Miracle' in their lives.
"We had the pleasure of joining Miracle Babies and Hyundai Help for Kids at the Dragons vs Roosters football game in Sydney. When we got to the private room, we were so excited as our little family have never experienced anything like it. We got to meet other miracle families and share our stories. When the time came to go onto the field at half-time all the children (and adults) were so excited! Walking out and seeing the huge crowd in the stadium, then cheering on the players as they ran back onto the field, was so special. All of our little warriors were cheering them on and showing support. We are so lucky to have had this experience with miracle babies. They're an amazing charity who have been so supportive ever since we entered those NICU doors." - Laura, Miracle mum to Reggie
50/50 Charity Raffle - Roosters v Dragons game
At the Roosters v Dragons game, Miracle Babies was also the chosen charity for the 50/50 Charity Raffle, with more than 11,000 raised! 50% of these went to a winner in the crowd, and the other 40% was donated to us, raising almost $5000, to help support our NurtureProgram Services and Resources. Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who volunteered their time to help us sell raffle tickets on the day, we appreciate the support.
