On Christmas Day, 132 babies will be born premature or critically ill and they will spend the next few weeks, months or even year in hospital. Each year, sadly up to 1,000 babies will lose their fight for life. Will you make a donation to support a family this Christmas?
For those celebrating, a baby’s first Christmas is one of the most special moments in a parent’s life and sadly thousands of families have no choice but to endure the heartbreak of being separated at Christmas time. They will watch their baby fight for life during a season that should be filled with joy. Not having cuddles with their newborn baby on Christmas, some will have siblings who are also impacted by the experience and missing their first Christmas as a family.
Our Miracle families deserve to share in the celebration of this time of year. By donating to our Christmas Appeal, you’re helping them feel supported and bring some comfort knowing that they’re not alone during a time that can be very isolating and scary.
Each year, Miracle Babies Foundation delivers Christmas gifts to these families in hospital. Approximately 1,500 Christmas gifts will be delivered to hospitals across Australia.
For families sadly grieving the loss of their newborn at Christmas time, this time of year will forever be a reminder of memories missed with their precious baby.
