Miracle Babies Foundation is Australia's leading organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them. Every year in Australia around 48,000 newborn babies require the help of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN). Up to 27,000 of these babies are born premature and up to 1000 babies lose their fight for life.

Our NurtureProgram is are Australia’s only comprehensive parent to parent support program available from a high risk pregnancy, during the time spent in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN), the transition to home and beyond. The NurtureProgram Support Worker will be motivated and passionate to provide support to other families by their own personal experience of having their baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN).

You must meet the criteria of having a baby cared for in NICU/SCN as this is required for all NurtureProgram Support Worker positions.

The NurtureProgram Support Worker will conduct NurtureGroup’s and support the team to ensure that our continued commitment to provide the highest standard of care in peer to peer parent support for families of premature and sick newborns to families discharged from hospital and deliver other services as required through online digital platforms.

The NurtureProgram Support Worker will also be responsible for delivering services for families in the allocated hospital. They will provide peer support, guidance and hope within the premises of the approved hospital, through NurtureTime, for families that have babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN).
