Miracle Mum, Samantha was rushed into an emergency c-section after the hospital noticed her baby had minimal movement during a routine observation.

"My daughter Amelia Rose Geering was born at 32+6 via emergency caesarean at Liverpool public hospital at 10.09pm weighing 1.616kg.

I’d been having issues with my high blood pressure from 30 weeks and was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 31 weeks. At 32+6 I was at the hospital getting monitored for my blood pressure when they noticed Amelia had minimal movement on the monitor and wasn’t improving. We were rushed in for an emergency caesarean.

Amelia was born with the cord around her body and neck. It was a very scary time, but the nurses and my obstetrician were amazing. She needed a dose of Surfactant to help her lungs and only needed the help of the oxygen for 27 hours.

Amelia stayed in the NICU for 3 weeks exactly before we were able to take her home weighing 2.5kgs.

She's almost 4 years old and is my little fighter!”
