My journey began when my son was born at 26 weeks gestation after my waters broke spontaneously at 24 weeks. I spent 3 weeks at King Edward Memorial before he was born and later spent a total of 97 days between the NICU and SCN before returning home.
Being from a country town it was soon apparent the lack of support that us country folk had access to which in turn led me to Miracle Babies where Megan helped to facilitate the Bunbury NutureGroup in the Southwest of WA.
It is imperative that all families, including those living in country towns, have access to support, and a space they feel comfortable sharing their unique stories and for their children to flourish and feel loved.
