Tip In for Miracles like Hadrian's in honour of World Prematurity Day.
Every year in Australia, 48,000 babies are born requiring the specialised care of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN). Of these, 27,000 are born premature and up to 1,000 babies will sadly lose their fight for life.
Hadrian was born at 26 weeks, weighing just 540 grams and spent 104 days under specialised care. Read the full story here.

Having a baby born not as expected can be life-changing and it affects the entire family. Babies can go on to face lifelong challenges including disabilities, developmental delays or behavioural issues and parents are 2.5 times more likely to develop post-natal depression.
